VCA Southeast Portland Animal Hospital is looking to expand its team with an Experienced Veterinary Assistant!

Our hospital is available 7 days a week to provide Primary Care, Emergency and Urgent Care for canines and felines.

Whether you are a seasoned Veterinary Assistant or a Technician in training, we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

Providing support to the entire veterinary hospital staff Ensure there is a clean, comfortable environment for patients and clients Assisting with work ordersVenipuncture and IVC placement.Triage urgent cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitalsEnsuring that treatment areas and exam rooms remain fully stocked Restrain animals during examinations or vaccinations Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients.Keep accurate records and logs Sterilize equipment Observing patients for obvious signs of health concerns and reporting any findings to senior staff

Compensation: $ 22 - 25 / hour

Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.

Shift Differential: We offer a shift differential to all hourly associates who work on Sundays.

Schedule: Full-time opportunities available, schedule is four x 10-hour shifts.
