The Job Overview
As a Software Development Manager, you will oversee a team of software engineers and infrastructure staff that develops and maintains our proprietary payments platform. We are seeking an IT manager who has the knowledge and skill to oversee the day to day IT related activities of the company and partner with both the business and technical executive management to drive fulfillment of strategic and tactical projects and objectives. Responsibilities:
Manage day to day developer activities.Assign and track sprint tickets to development staff.Assist in developing and refining technical requirements.Assure on time and accurate delivery.Assist the IT department head with leading and training IT staff.Implement policies related to network security, disaster recovery, and IT infrastructure.Analyze resource utilization and develop strategies to optimize performance.Monitor and analyze the success of IT initiatives and projects and continually develop and evaluate new technologies and tools for the company.Manage development projects to integrate new technologies into existing systems.Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry guidance.Establish a security policy to protect company information and resources.Oversight and refinement of the SDLC process as well as CI/CD pipeline.Work closely with business leaders and the product owner to ensure that the product functionality aligns with operational and customer needs.Ensure proper and accurate documentation of the environment as built.Oversee and manage the daily IT operations of the platforms that support the business Job Qualifications and Skill Sets:Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field and or relevant high-level experience and certificationsA minimum of 5 years of experience in leading a software development teamBackground as a software developer/engineerFamiliarity with Java, PHP, Databases, CI/CD pipelines and code deployment technologiesFamiliarity with our software platforms including Microsoft 365 (e.g., Power BI), AWS and Azure CloudExperience in electronic payments or banking is desiredStrong teamwork and communication skillsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
