Our government client is looking for an experienced Database/ System Administrator on a hybrid 12+ months renewable contract opportunity in Hartford, CT.
Position: Database/ System Administrator
Role and Responsibilities:Database Administrators with Applications experience are responsible for data migration, datacleanup, data reporting, as well as managing and maintaining the hardwired lines and wirelessconnections in a system and the hardware that hooks up to that system. Applicants are expectedto have at least ten years of relevant work experience, ideally in a school or educational agency,managing school nutrition data applications, and automated processes.Job duties specific to the applicant may include:Proficient in Microsoft AccessFixed Asset System IntegrationsTesting/Piloting operationsSchool rolloutGrading user interface reportsAPI connectionsCreating QR codesData migration and data cleanupAnalyzing and figuring out the system needs of an organization Research and developmentKeeping systems operating efficiently by performing any necessary upgrades and repairsPlanning a strategy to maintain system security on the computers and the network as a wholeOptimizing and evaluating the system regularlyAssigning and updating security permissions for the system networkTraining or directing users on the correct use of software and hardware within the systemPerforming problem-solving tasks when alerted by a user or monitoring systemTracking, installing, and configuring software updates and performing database backupsto restore and protect user informationInstalling hardware and software for the networkAny other duties as assignedAbout Vector:Vector Consulting, Inc., (Headquartered in Atlanta) is an IT Talent Acquisition Solutions firm committed to delivering results.
