Would you like an opportunity to be hands-on with the full life cycle of design, development, and delivery of cybersecurity products and services?
The client is a rapidly growing company who is looking for an experienced Researcher with a Network focus to lead the development effort for new cybersecurity appliances. This is an opportunity to leverage your network security, cyber threat hunting, and programming experience. You will work with a collaborative team to develop prototypes and transition them into state of the art production cybersecurity tools!
If you have hands-on experience with network security and are looking for a challenging yet rewarding role in delivering intrusion detection and Advanced Persistent Threat detection tools, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Please note this is an onsite position. Candidates must be able to work in the client’s Montgomery County, MD area office.
As a Network Security Researcher, you will:Design, develop, and test network cybersecurity appliancesDevelop network packet processing software for use on high volume networksPerform test driven development of Threat Hunting toolsResearch machine learning models to find innovative solutions to detecting network intrusions and to counter Advanced Persistent Threats
Position requirements:5+ years of network security, cyber threat hunting, and programming experienceHands-on Python, C/C++, or Java experienceExperience working with network analysis and packet inspection tools (Wireshark, etc.)Cyber threat hunting and threat intelligence experienceIn depth knowledge of networking, protocols, and data communicationsNetwork emulation experienceLinux and Windows system and networking experienceTest driven development along with CI/CD pipeline and containerization experienceBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fieldOnsite position - work onsite at client’s Montgomery County, MD area officeUS Citizen
