๐Ÿ“‹ Role Overview & Responsibilities

Vedder Price's Chicago office is looking for a Practice Development Coordinator. The Practice Development Coordinator works under the supervision of a manager but is responsible for spearheading assigned projects and coordinating all activities associated with those projects. The Coordinator is expected to understand and help improve the departmentโ€™s procedures, tools and initiatives and to keep team members and supervisors informed on the status of projects. The ideal candidate understands the legal industry; is experienced in providing proactive problem-solving to busy attorneys; is a strong writer and communicator and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The Coordinator will provide support on pitches, RFPs and other practice group-driven materials.

As a Practice Development Coordinator, your duties will include but not be limited to:

Works with Practice Development Managers to coordinate marketing and business development initiatives for specific practice groups, especially the Finance and Transaction group, across the firmโ€™s offices; this includes drafting and producing marketing proposals and RFP responses, including content development, final document preparation and follow-upPrepares submission for M&A and finance league tablesEdits maintains and updates practice-specific pages of the firm website and intranet, as well as marketing collateral and attorney bios; drafts, reviews and contributes to key messaging and content of brochures and other collateral materials, including directory submissionsWorks with other marketing team members to identify and coordinate appropriate business development initiatives for different practice groups, such as seminars and trade shows, newsletters, presentations and other eventsManages the day-to-day activities associated with these initiatives with moderate supervisionMaintains current and accurate case lists, descriptions, case studies and client lists for use in marketing and business development effortsProvides research support for various initiatives utilizing research subscriptions and databasesPrepares submissions to legal directories such as Chambers and The Legal 500

Must have superior attention to detail and an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentMust work well under pressure and be a self-starter, problem-solver and team playerMust have the ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines

Qualifications & Required Experience

Bachelorโ€™s degree in marketing, journalism, communications or related field preferredA minimum of three to four years of demonstrated success in a law firm or professional services firm preferred

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the following software:

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office requiredExperience with Intapp CRM or other CRM database a plusWorking knowledge of InDesign a plus
