📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
VENTEON Finance is hiring an ENTRY LEVEL GL ACCOUNTANT to provide support in Southfield, MI. Assist the Accounting team in recording transactions and supporting the month end closing process.
POSITION TYPE: Full Time. Direct Hire. Onsite. PAY: $60,000 to $65,000 annually based on education / skills.
Requirements of the GL Accountant:Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other relevant degrees. Knowledge of GAAP.Entry level: 2-3 years of Corporate Accounting work experience.Ability to reconcile bank accounts, expense reports, and general ledger accounts.Familiar with month end closing process. Exposure to creating and entering journal entries.Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Receivable accounting processes.Person who enjoys working with numbers. Ability to spot and resolve accounting discrepancies.Good technically with computer systems, MS Office including Word and Excel.
Duties of the GL Accountant:Reviewing and entering financial transactions into the Accounting system.Reconciling expenses such as credit card statements and expense reports.Reconciling company bank accounts. Retrieving and posting payment details.Preparing and posting general ledger entries. Reconciling GL Balances.Generating accounting and finance reports.Provide support for month end close activities.Analyzing financial data.Gathering documents and information needed for taxation.Completing accounting projects as assigned.
