VTC Technician

Job Title: AV/VTC TechnicianLocation: Manhattan, NY (on-site)Duration: 6+ month contract (potential contract-to-hire)Pay Rate: $32-36/hr. (Based on Experience)

Summary:The AV/VTC Technician provides first and second level support role with the primary responsibility of providing technical support to meetings and presentations involving customers and operational support. This role will actively participate in maintaining and improving the timeliness and quality of information systems.

Responsibilities:Set up, install, operate, test, and troubleshoot audio and visual equipment, including setting up equipment used to enhance live events, such as laptops, projectors, screens and microphones.Operates sound equipment and conference room lighting.Performs sounds checks for Video Conferences and dry run meetings, while resolving equipment issues that may arise.Provides stand-by support for conferences and video conferences.Responds to conference room attendee technology requests and needs, and troubleshoots problems utilizing standard troubleshooting tools.Conducts inventory of conference room equipment and technology supplies, such as chargers, AC adapters, batteries and clickers, and orders supplies as needed.Performs effectively as a second level technical resource to resolve customer problems.Maintains the operational availability of all computer related equipment including laptops, desktops, printers, servers, data communication equipment, network infrastructure, telephone equipment and audio-visual systems.Performs, maintains and adheres to Firm-wide and departmental policies, standards, operational guidelines, and administrative procedures.

Qualifications:Ability to interact with co-workers and clients under deadline pressure.Strong customer services skills.Strong verbal, interpersonal and team skills.Diplomacy, professionalism, good judgement and courtesy by phone, in-person and email.Ability to work overtime as necessary.
