Costing Specialist
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
HYBRID ROLE BASED OUT OF OUR NORCROSS OFFICE
Job Purpose
Our Costing Specialist will be responsible for managing market cost changes for small to mid-size suppliers including preferred and non-preferred.
Job Responsibilities
Accurately create and maintain cost records in the legacy systems.Comply with daily performance metrics in management inbound cost activities.Support efforts to onboard new category strategies.Maintain documentation to support all cost entries and updates.Identify and communicate potential business critical cost issues to Inventory Management, Sourcing, and Category Management and assist in resolution.Respond professionally and comprehensively to field requests and inquiries.Assist Cost Specialist in larger projects and supplier/market change updates.Work with Supplier, Inventory Management and Accounts Payable on price list/legacy system discrepancies.Troubleshoot system and cost concerns and provide accurate issue resolution.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications
Highly motivated and able to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.Display a sense of urgency to respond to inquiries and service internal and external customers.Strong technical skills, i.e. statistical, mathematical, attention to detail.High comfort level in learning and understanding new software programs.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Work Experience
0-1 years of related job experience.Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
