POSITION OVERVIEWThe Compensation Analyst is a key contributor to the success of Vertex and Legacy Traditional Schools Total Rewards program. The Compensation Analyst will assist with the research, analysis, planning, and administration of all compensation programs for both Vertex and Legacy Traditional Schools. A strong candidate for this role is service-, process-, and detail-oriented with a deep focus on accuracy.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDesign, evaluate, modify, and manage compensation policies and practices to ensure that programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirementsCollaborate with human resources and business leaders by conducting job evaluations and leveling and providing compensation recommendations.Manage with annual merit and bonus programs and accruals.In charge of development and maintenance of job descriptions, ensuring job responsibilities, scope and qualifications are accurately reflected. This includes assigning positions to grades within the salary structure, job code creation and maintenance, and partnering with HR to determine accuracy. Complete market research surveys.Maintain and update the MarketPay database with job profiles, pay ranges, and salary surveys.Researching and advising on relevant state and federal laws to ensure the organization remains compliant with its compensation policies.Assist with special projects as assigned. General ResponsibilitiesGeneral knowledge of compensation practices and policies.Excellent computer skills in Google environment. Must include Sheets and Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.Effective oral and written communication.Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.Responsible for creating and delivering high quality presentations for the executive team and organization.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Perform other HR duties as assigned by management.
