Inventory Accountant
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Must haves:• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance• 5+ years of Accounting Experience• Inventory Accounting Experience and/ or Material Costing (examples: month end, allowances for obsolete stock, following parts through the process)• Data Analytics (Inventory Analytics for material movement, Power BI is currently used on the team, knowing how to aggregate data)• Mid-level accounting experience (see JFDS qualifications)• Advanced Excel required (pivot tables, macros, micros, etc.)
Nice to Haves:• SAP experience in FICO and MM modules (preferred), but could be taught if they had other ERP experience• Manufacturing experience (preferred) • Read, write and speak German (preferred)• Experience working with suppliers / vendors would be helpful
Day to day - This person will be responsible for daily reporting and analytics on inventory. They will be finding unique transactions and working with business partners to understand atypical activities. In other words, using data this person will be responsible to find process errors or atypical transaction types. They will also be responsible for project work due to expansions, to ensure process are set up properly. Responsible for project coordination for accounting and compliance, assisting in the financial process review for the accounting activities and ensuring accounting practices are in compliance with IFRS and BMW AG guidelines. Reviews internal controls in processes to ensure optimal efficiency.
