CA Based Traveling Robot Maintenance Technician

At ViaBot, we pride ourselves in being the first autonomous property management solution for commercial properties. We are looking to bring onto our team a California based Traveling Robot Maintenance Technician who will work 2pm - 10pm on their regular schedule, 5 days a week. Our ideal team member will learn about the inner workings of the robot and how to service and maintain it. Some out of state travel is expected and will be required.

Responsibilities:10-40% traveling to out-of-state sites to maintain robots30% traveling to local sites (in the bay area) to maintain robotsTravel (driving or flying out) to local and out of state robot deployment locations for routine maintenance checks, including inspecting, technical debugging, cleaning, and repairing equipment and machinery.Travel on short notice to various out of state sites to either service a robot, or train servicing agentsTroubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems with our technical team when they ariseCreate records of troubleshooting and repair work using internal reporting toolsUse power and hand tools to service robots. Tools include but are not limited to: allen wrenches, hand drills, dremels, multimeters, angle grinder, etcIndependently prioritize and schedule repairs for multiple robots in a fast paced environmentHandle shipping and receiving of robots and/or parts for maintenance and repairConduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance needs.Respond to maintenance requests in a timely mannerMaintain healthy inventory levels

Qualifications:Proven experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.Must be able to work alone or with a small team, and with minimal supervisionMust be able to have good communication (oral and written)Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailMust be able to lift heavy objects (30+ lbs) unassistedMust be able to travel domesticallyMust have work authorization in the United StatesMust have a valid drivers licenseMust have experience working with hand/power toolsNot a remote positionFluency in English

Hours:Hours are flexible and depend on the type of repairs needed. We ask that the mechanic come in at 2pm M-F. Some days you will need to come in earlier depending on the fixes needed.

Salary: $70,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
