What You'll Do

In this position, you will be working with teams that include software, development operations, systems, and system test engineers. You will be working with development operations engineers to improve and develop configuration management and deployment automation scripts, programs, and playbooks to facilitate single push-button configuration, software, and operating system updates in a large-scale communication system. You will be collaborating with software developers to perform static code analysis on large Java and C++ code bases to identify and resolve security and software defects. You may also be working on automating and improving software build process to include automated code analysis checks and tests. Other work in this position may include implementing and improving on continuous integration and continuous development processes within the lab and software build environments as well as software test automation.

The day-to-day

Developing and testing configuration management and deployment automation scripts, programs, and playbooks.Performing code analysis scans, remediating security vulnerabilities and fixing defects.Developing, testing, and deploying CICD and test automation.

What You'll Need

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Knowledge of at least one backend language (for example Java or C++). Understanding of software algorithms and data structures, object-oriented programming, and SOLID principles.Must be a US Citizen.

What Will Help You On The Job

Course work and/or working knowledge in python, C++, and Java programming.Course work and/or working knowledge of software build process and configuration management tools.Course work and/or working knowledge of database systems.

Salary range

$21 - $66 / hourly
