Job Function

Reporting into the Plant Manager, the Production and Maintenance Superintendent will be based out of Quincy, Illinois and will be responsible for overseeing production.

Responsibilities

Drives a site felt safety, quality always, high performance teamOversees, monitors, and coordinates production team activities giving importance to individual team members and overall team’s achievement of established goalsLeads, engages, and manages team using a servant leader mindsetEncourages collaboration between supervisor team membersCoaches supervisor team members as neededHelps create and maintain sustainable supervisor standard of workEnsures that all work is delivered on time, in line with company production targets, production planning, daily/weekly and monthly reportingReacts promptly to challenging situations, communicating with appropriate team members for resolutionStrategically plans and problem solves leveraging Operator experienceActively engages with floor level team to produce resultsCommunicates internal and external metrics, seeking out resources as neededDevelops and executes lean and flexible production systems based on lean manufacturing principlesOther tasks as needed

Required Experience

A minimum of a high school degree, AS or BA/BS degree3+ years of experience leading production and maintenanceEffective communicator, written and verbalProficient in Microsoft Suite

Preferred Experience

Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering DegreeLean Six-Sigma Yellow BeltProven CAPEX project management
