Role DescriptionThe Senior Mechanical Engineer will play a critical role in integrating various components and subsystems to develop cohesive and robust products. This individual will be responsible for gathering requirements, conducting experiments, and validating concepts to reduce risks and enhance product performance. The individual will work closely with contractors and internal teams to address field issues, meet customer deliverables, and contribute to long-term product development.
Responsibilities:Gather and define system requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.Design and conduct experiments to validate concepts and reduce system risks.Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to address immediate field issues and customer deliverables.Contribute to the long-term strategic development of products, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.Solicit and incorporate feedback to improve system design and functionality.Oversee system integration, ensuring seamless operation of all components.Required Experience:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on product development.Strong technical background in camera-based systems and computer vision is preferred.Experience with modeling, simulation, and testing methodologies.Knowledge in using 3D CAD (SolidWorks Preferred) systems and Microsoft office tools;Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects.
