📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Department of Environmental Quality seeks a qualified candidate to provide administrative and technical support to the Air and Renewable Energy Division Director and staff with responsibility for specialized, complex, and highly technical air quality programs. Specifically, to provide support to the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) climate action planning process, and the DEQ renewable energy permit by rule program. To protect Virginia’s environment and promote the health and well being of the citizens of the Commonwealth by ensuring Comprehensive Environmental Data System (CEDS) data and programming is efficiently utilized to support the DEQ Division of Air and Renewable Energy. Serve as a Liaison to communicate business needs of Division of Air and Renewable Energy to OIS, and also provide support for enhancements to CEDS data entry and reporting. Prepare reports reflecting air program and renewable energy program activities in Commonwealth, including reports on air emissions, air permitting, air compliance, and renewable energy. Provide all program specific administrative support as well as support to the Central Office Manager as the Freedom of Information Action (FOIA) Coordinator and other duties as assigned.
