Job Description

Visa U.S.A. Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Software Test Engineer - Sr. Consultant level (multiple openings) in Ashburn, VA to

Serve as the primary testing representative on cross functional project teams delivering. Impact assessment to current testing processes and policies. Negotiate on behalf of the testing team for tools, training, and support commitments. Develop and deliver training to global testing team. Develop/Maintain transaction and automation scripts. Develop/maintain clear testing project documentation. Function as a global SME for assigned areas of expertise including. Collaborate with developers and QA leads to improve testability, automation, and tools. Identify and troubleshoot system issues working with functional/development as required. Provide ongoing guidance and knowledge to less tenured Global Client Testing (GCT) employees. Coordinate and collaborate with a globally distributed team. Travel required. Position reports to the Ashburn, Virginia office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field, followed by 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Software Test Engineer-related occupation. MVS, VIP, RSI, and CORE/ConfigISO 8583 messagingReading logprints and troubleshooting 01xx/02xx and other financial messagesAPI messages such as splunk logsPayment testing simulators such as VTS-VIP.

Additional Information

Worksite: Ashburn, VA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: Travel is required.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $135,054.00 USD to $191,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
