Software Engineer

Vive Financial is currently hiring a Software Engineer to work with a team of Engineers to provide stable, high-quality, and scalable solutions that meet the needs of the business. This will also include providing enhancements to current applications, maintaining the existing code base, increasing velocity, and working within our change procedures to fulfill current compliance requirements.

This position is eligible for remote work with some days in the office in our Fayetteville, Arkansas location. Candidate must live within a 60-mile radius of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Your Day-to-day

Utilize Azure DevOps as a tool to document changes and maintain existing code base as part of the accepted change control policiesSecurely develop applications using a variety of languages and platforms not limited to Java, HTML, C#, VB.net, ASP.net, .Net Core, Unity, etc.Work with users and product owners to clarify needs and resolve issuesFollow established software engineering standards and best practicesTest and debug code for quality assurance and problem resolutionAssist the QA team in developing a plan to test new functionality and featuresOwn projects from inception to completion including documenting implementation plans and meeting core business needsAssist in after-hours software engineering support and system releasesQuickly plan and reverse implementations when issues occur using Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines for releasesApply an advanced level of knowledge in MS SQL Server utilizing T-SQL, stored procedures and transaction processing concepts in the development of software applicationsWill be part of an on-call rotation to help resolve urgent software engineering system issues occurring outside of normal office hours, which may include nights, weekends, and holidaysProvide guidance and clarity to projects or changes to technical and non technical stakeholders

You'll Bring

Five years of software engineer experience in a similar roleBachelor’s degree in technology related field or equivalent professional experienceExcellent oral and written communication skills, adaptability, and attention to detailExperience using GIT and Azure DevOps for source controlBroad experience across technologies, stacks, and development languages especially C#, ASP.net, .Net Core, and javascriptMS SQL experienceStrong working knowledge of service-oriented architecture, APIs, JSON marshalling, etcWell versed in object-oriented programmingSelf-motivated to learn and apply new technologiesExperience with Repos in Azure DevOps using GIT in maintaining the Source Code branchesExperience with dependency injection and middlewareStrong problem-solving skillsStrong UX skills and a good sense for visual and interaction designBackground in financial services software preferred.net 5 and above experience preferredExperience with mobile development technologies such as flutter preferred
