Senior Technical Product Manager

About the Team:We are currently seeking a Senior Product Manager in our TV Software Product Management team, specifically focused on backend tools which supports the front end of television software experience. The ideal candidate for this position can collaborate with our Content Operations teams to improve upon existing tools and define enhancements to make existing content management tools more efficient and drive higher engagement.

What You Will Do:As Backend Product Manager, your role is pivotal in ensuring that the backend infrastructure remains up-to-date, efficient and reliable.Define the product vision and design the roadmap for TV backend technologies that power the front end of TV client and mobile applications.Ensuring that the back-end infrastructure can handle large amounts of traffic on VIZIO TVs is curcial. This involves designing systems that efficiently manage data and traffic.Partner across cross-functional teams to define PRDs/MRDs for TV backend software and collaborate with other PMs and engineering groups to drive execution.Articulate complex information and requirements into concise and accurate specifications.Update specification and create documentation as needed to accommodate requirements changes to meet product vision and competitiveness in the market.Collaborate with content operations, engineering, program management and data analytics teams to establish and meet project timelines.Document the existing tools and become the in-house subject matter expert on the VIZIO Admin Tools.Review product development progress against product requirements and make judgement on assigning resources to issues.Collaborate with QA team to manage beta program for new features.Define and manage key software features and KPIs based on the market analysis.

About You:BS degree in Engineering or related field required; MBA is a plus, but not required.1-3 years experience in product management.3+ years experience in technical business practice.Strong written and verbal English language skills.Experience in Agile, SCRUM, JIRA and Confluence to guide product development process.Previous work experience with consumer electronics and/or backend tools used for web development is a plus.

For Colorado-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $110,000.00/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
