Our Purpose and Goals
Education To increase awareness of crisis in foster care
Service To improve the quality of lives of children and youth in foster care, homeless, incarcerated or under the supervision of probation through the provision of direct services to the children or to the agencies serving them.
Community Action To improve the quality of the lives of children and young people in foster care, homeless, incarcerated or under the supervision of probation through system changes.
Spiritual Growth Nurture growth and personal transformation that results from the volunteer experience.
Our Area of Ministry
Our focus is on the 2,518 children and young people in foster care in the area served by the Pasadena Department of Children and Families Services (DCFS), as well as incarcerated, homeless and emancipated youth.
Volunteers are needed from 9 30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 9, to serve as chaperones for foster youth attending an LA County Office of Education, Foster Youth Services, financial literacy program. The youth are LA County high school seniors and the event will take place at the LA County Office of Education in Downey.
