📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Vitalant ("Vye-TAL-ent") is the nation’s largest independent, nonprofit blood services provider exclusively focused on providing lifesaving blood and comprehensive transfusion medicine services for about 900 hospitals and their patients across the U.S. Every day, Vitalant needs to collect about 5,300 blood, platelet and plasma donations to help save lives.
We can't make this happen without the support of our volunteers!
Help us brighten lives for area patients by providing a positive, rewarding experience for donors at Vitalant’s one-day Mobile Blood Drives.
Responsibilities may include
Welcome and check-in donorsExplain the donation process and answer any non-medical/eligibility questionsManage donor flow when neededProvide courteous communication and assistance to donors and staffAssist with set up and help maintain cleanliness in Reception and Refreshment areasReport any possible adverse post-donation reactions to staff
