The Cyber Defense and Intelligence Center (CDIC), a state-of-the-art hub for cyber operations and intelligence gathering, is seeking dynamic and proactive volunteers to join our growing team. We are currently in need of a Finance Coordinator.

You will be a key member of our team, assisting with the management and oversight of the organization's financial operations. Your expertise will help ensure fiscal responsibility, transparency, and the continued success of our programs and initiatives. Key Responsibilities **Support the Director of Administration with daily accounting and finance tasks, ensuring compliance with non-profit financial policies and procedures.Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts.Help oversee and manage organization receivables and payables.Conduct regular reconciliations of all accounts to ensure accuracy.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements for review by the Director of Administration and Board of Directors.Maintain the integrity of financial management systems, databases, and tools.Monitor expenditures and implement cost-reduction strategies.Act as a liaison to department heads, providing financial guidance and support in budget management.Work with external auditors during audits and provide all necessary information for the annual financial statements.Ensure proper financial record keeping and documentation for all transactions.Assist with grant reporting, monitoring, and compliance requirements.Participate in financial planning and strategy meetings, contributing valuable insights.Stay abreast of trends and regulations in non-profit finance to ensure CDIC's adherence to best practices.Qualifications **Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.2+ years of financial experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.Strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles and best practices in the non-profit sector.Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management capabilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across the organization.Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports in a timely fashion.Experience with grant accounting and federal fund compliance is a plus.An understanding of cybersecurity and related fields is desirable, but not essential.General Requirements for All Volunteers **At least 18 years of age.A commitment to a minimum volunteer period (e.g., 6 months).Availability for a certain number of hours per week (e.g., 10-20 hours).Completion of a background check.Benefits of Volunteering with CDIC **Develop professional skills that are highly valuable.Support the backbone of our operations with your expertise and watch your efforts make a tangible difference.Certificate of Volunteer Service and references upon request.
