Our Purpose and Goals
Education To increase awareness of crisis in foster care
Service To improve the quality of lives of children and youth in foster care, homeless, incarcerated or under the supervision of probation through the provision of direct services to the children or to the agencies serving them.
Community Action To improve the quality of the lives of children and young people in foster care, homeless, incarcerated or under the supervision of probation through system changes.
Spiritual Growth Nurture growth and personal transformation that results from the volunteer experience.
Our Area of Ministry
Our focus is on the 2,518 children and young people in foster care in the area served by the Pasadena Department of Children and Families Services (DCFS), as well as incarcerated, homeless and emancipated youth.
Volunteers (18+) are needed to help serve a sandwich lunch on May 13 in Hollywood, at a homeless drop-in center. This is an important way to provide support to the many children and young people living on the streets in Los Angeles. Volunteers are also needed to prepared sandwiches beforehand on May 12th as well as help serve approximately 70 children and youth the next day at noon.
