Senior Project Manager - IT

What You Will Do

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager that will lead and develop the Project Management community, secure delivery precision and customer satisfaction in all deliveries. 

We are today 4 project managers in Greensboro. We strive for continuous development within our business, but also to further raise ourselves in our profession by continuously improving our common way of working, methods, supporting & coaching each other and by sharing lessons learned.

As Project Manager within Volvo Group Connected Solutions you are responsible for planning, reporting and following up a project in accordance to an approved project management plan. You have the ability to manage different projects on a cross-functional level in a global organization. You feel comfortable taking initiative and working independently although at the same time available to share your experience with your fellow colleagues. With a proactive and flexible attitude and the ability to build, develop and grow professional business relationships with your stakeholders, you will secure the success of the projects that you are managing as well as the success of our organization as a whole. Being professional in every aspect comes natural for you.

Documented Senior Project Management experience in complex and global environments Certification in Program / Project Management a plus Documented leadership with the emphasis on the ability to inspire, develop and motivate individuals and teams Strong planning skills Have strong communication and negotiation skills and do not fear some administration tasks Change Management skills Agile / SAFe experience with the ability to help implement the processes across an organization Coach Agile teams to foster continuous communication and teamwork between business and technology Have capacity to execute against set targets and a “can do” attitude Ability to establish and maintain good relations with your internal and external partners/stakeholders Customer business knowledge - build, develop, and grow any business relationship Good interest in process- and overall business development improvements A global and agile mindset with strong customer focus Experience managing software development and agile development Experience managing infrastructure and service operation a plus Experience in the Telematics area a plus Expected to act according to/live the Volvo Group Values

You have a university degree in computer science or similar.
