Supply Quality Technician 7

Core Responsibilities

Responsible to identify, coordinate and develop suppliers that have opportunities for improving their quality, costs and delivery performance. Assist solving the shop floor production supplier problems. Processes reject and scrap tickets. Spot check, sort and reject incoming supplier shipments as per our procedures. Contacts vendor, supplier. Production management, design and manufacturing engineers to resolve supplier related issues. Verify all drive, transom, machine or engine line scrap which include vendor scrap. Demonstrate strong knowledge of material and purchasing systems. Must operate a forklift ana other material handling equipment. Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills.

Skills And Knowledge Required

Must have good communication skills both written and verbal. Capable of reading-engineering drawings and-specifications to follow instructions for these documents. Requires full range of vision, hand/eye coordination ana manipulative ability to use tools and equipment. Requires the ability to have advance skills in the use of hand tools - measuring type (calipers, dial calipers, micrometer, height gage, etc. Advance Microsoft and JDE computer skills. Initiate and work with continues improvement. Quality data collection and analysis. Experience in working with excel.

Education And Experience

High school graduate or equivalent required. Multi-plant experience and cross-functional assignments preferred.
