Then join our small family run metal fabrication job shop as a Quality Inspector. Must be a good communicator who can work effectively with all levels of employees.
The ability to involve the floor operators with the quality process, and the changes that are needed to accomplish an improvement is a necessary skill. Competitive salary and benefits.
Primary Responsibilities
First piece inspections including laser, CNC and press brake operationsMonitoring and enhancement of in-process inspection proceduresFinal inspections as required and guidelines for applicationFirst article documentation, as requiredEnhancement of root cause and corrective action documentationMonthly reporting of defects and actions takenDecrease in overall scrap ratesCommunication with top management on problems and actions to correct
Qualified Candidates Will Have
Minimum of five years in metal fabricationAbility to read and interpret blueprintsUnderstanding and knowledge of the forming processAbility to inspect a part using equipment such as calipers or micrometerFamiliarity with Prolink and/or Fabrivision a plusExcellent communications skillsHands on attitude where neededBilingual a plus
