All Warehouse Associates will perform multiple tasks in any combination and concentration of the mentioned areas and will rotate through all or most of the processes rather than being assigned to a specific task. Warehouse Associates must be able to work as part of a team.

Warehouse Associates will perform duties, including but not limited to:

Receiving, order picking, packing (wrapping, crating, labeling), and shipping of both large and small materialsOperate various forklift trucks, and other material transport equipment (cranes, tuggers, pallet jacks, etc.) as neededLoading and unloading of trucksParts counting, including inventory audits and cycle-countingUtilize ORACLE and other various PC and web applications to review, enter and edit dataGenerate shipping labels, packing slips, etc. and verify accuracyEngage in activities to prevent loss or damage of materialsGeneral housekeeping of warehouseRead and interpret pick tickets, packing instructions, safety alerts, drawings, or other communications as neededWork with other Warehouse Associates and Support Staff on improving warehouse processes through team meetings; promote climate of cooperationPerform all activities in a manner that meets GE Manufacturing Solutions’ standards for integrity, safety and quality

Qualifications/Basic Requirements

4-day (Monday through Thursday), 10-hour shift work week. Shift hours are 5:00AM - 3:30PM (1st shift) and 3:15PM - 1:45AM (2nd Shift). Must be able to work scheduled shift hours.Starting pay rate is $21.10 per hour (up to $21.53 /hour after 6 month progression) with additional night shift differential of $1/hr.High-school diploma or GED or equivalentMust be willing to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs and safety shoesMust be willing to work in a tobacco-free environmentBe willing to take a drug test & submit to a background check as part of the selection processBe willing to submit to random drug testsLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.Must be willing to work as necessary to meet the requirements of the position, including the ability to work occasional weekends and scheduled overtimeMust be able to complete some operations at heights up to 20 ft.Must be able to climb and complete some work on laddersMust be able to lift material up to 40 lbs.Must have ability to properly use and care for assigned tools and equipmentMust be able to adhere to standards, do a quality job in a safe manner and within acceptable timeEvery employee will be an in-process inspector

Desired characteristics

1 year of experience in manufacturing and warehouse environmentPrior Forklift Driving experience; Forklift CertificationSafety mindset; knowledge of safety procedures and practicesAbility to read and interpret operating procedures, quality and safety documents, or other information critical to job performance; strong communication skillsAbility to work a flexible schedule with overtime as neededPrior ERP system experience (ORACLE, SAP, etc); computer literacyExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the customer in mindDemonstrates strong leadership skillsManual dexterity for using hand tools to perform essential functions
