Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a experienced, self-starter to join our team as a BI Developer on our Global IT team.

The BI Developer will work with business and the IT departments, providing leadership to identify and implement IT solutions that enable and support the business. This person will be involved at all stages of the development life cycle: initial analysis, implementation, integration, testing, debugging and support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develops, deploys, and maintains BI interfaces, including query tools, data visualization and interactive dashboards, ad hoc reporting, and data modeling toolsSets business requirements for BI toolsTranslates business requirements into technical onesResponsible for BI software development, deployment, and maintenanceReports curation and data modelingParticipates in data warehouse designDocuments contents in a data warehouse and meta-data storageCreates technical documentation for BI tools

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in an IT related field and 4 years of relevant work experienceWorking knowledge and experience with technology including established programming procedures and languages. Strong communication (verbal, written) skills, and ability to work with all levels of the organization effectivelyMust have the ability to manage several tasks of varying size and complexity concurrentlyMust be able to take direction and work from proven project management toolStrong analytical skills A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expectedRelies on judgment and others to plan and accomplish goalsExperience with BI reporting tools such as Tableau, Board, Power BI, Domo, Looker, MicroStrategy, Cognos Analytics, QlikView, SAP Business ObjectsUnderstands data modeling, data schemas like normalized, flat, star, snowflake, etc. Understands database operations and optimization for like Microsoft SQL Server, NoSQL, flat-file storage, etc. Understands data and query optimization, query profiling, and query performance monitoring tools and techniques.
