📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The award-winning Forbes 4-Star and AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for a Food Runner to join the Food & Beverage Team!
Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.
The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and IRD.
Classification: Part-Time Seasonal Shift: Various – must have availability to work weekends, weekdays, and holidays. Pay Rate: $16 per hour
A Food Runner is responsible for maintaining and transporting all food products for a designated outlet or outlets in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
What will I be doing?
As a Runner, you would be responsible for maintaining and transporting all food products for a designated outlet or outlets in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Prepare and replenish foods for hot and cold buffets to include, but not limited to, fruit, juices, cereals, bread, hot food, etc.Replenish ice and maintain time and temperature sanitation standardsTransport food items to and from the kitchenCheck, maintain and control inventory of food itemsRestock outlet(s) with inventory and break down the buffet to clean, replace and set for next dayPerform general cleaning to maintain cleanliness of work areaPut away food stock and dry goods according to established standards
