School Based Social Worker
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include:Develop and determine treatment plans based on child/family needs seen in counseling.Provide both individual and group therapies.Facilitate emergency intervention services when needed.Provide timely documentation required by the state and federal government.Work with school staff to ensure student meetings don't conflict with continuing educational activities.
Qualifications:A Master’s in Mental Health Counseling/Social Work is required (supervision for licensure is provided).LMSW or LMHC license is a plus but not required.Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for interacting with clients in a calm and comforting manner.
