Position Summary
Under general supervision, performs administrative duties in support of the Office of Training Grants (OTG) and its mission to advance Washington University’s research enterprise by providing comprehensive support services for training grants and to facilitate efforts of investigators to secure funding at every career stage.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with grant submissions and progress reports.Format Biosketches.Populate data tables.Obtain and distribute applicable instructions.Compile and submit the grant and progress reports according to established agency/university guidelines.Aid in management of REDCap database.Assist with data entry and maintenance.Pull reports upon request.Provide support in identifying and implementing enhancements.Help with events (e.g. Training Grant Administrator monthly meetings, Training Grant Mock Study Sections, Council of Training Programs, Mentoring Liaison Program).Schedule meetings.Provide handouts and printed materials for meetings.Assist with room reservations and set-up.Coordinate Training Grant Administrator Box folder.Tracks and maintains online database of awarded K, T and R25 grants.Organize resources.Send out requests to research administrators to update their grant data and follow up.Support marketing efforts.Update website.Prepare flyers and other notifications for OTG events.Assist with distribution of materials and mailings.Attends training sessions/seminars related to the position.Complete other duties as assigned by the OTG and Clinical Research Training Center leadership
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree and three to five years of experience in program coordination or project management.Experience in a medical, research or educational environment.Pleasant and professional interpersonal skills.Strong English, spelling and grammar skills.Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of faculty, students and staff.Possess strong organizational skills.Ability to exercise sound judgment in establishing priorities.Willingness to work cooperatively as well as independently.Work as part of a team.Responsive to change and innovation.Demonstrate high level of attention to details, follow established procedures, and maintain very high degree of accuracy, even with interruptions.Positive attitude, strong work ethic, dependability, and an ability to be flexible and think quickly in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.Experience with REDCap, Flight Tracker, website development, and Washington University systems.Ability to efficiently prioritize and complete projects, organize time, and work independently.Ability to handle confidential material, and monitor spending.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word), Adobe Acrobat, and experience with mail merge and relational databases necessary. Familiar with database development and maintenance.Ability to plan effectively and meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.Two to four years of related experience preferably with grants, marketing, accounting and/or budget management responsibilities

Salary Range
$20.76 - $32.21 / Hourly
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
