Purpose: Quality Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining the quality standards and expectations established by Waterstone. Duties include developing quality control plans, implementation, enforcement, inspection of products at various stages, and writing reports documenting production issues with corrective actions. The Quality Manager will be the lead coordinator in continuous improvement and quality control processes designed to ensure production consistency. Draft, implement, and train personnel on quality standards and principles on which Waterstone Faucets was founded.

Duties and Responsibilities:· Introduce QMS ideologies and methods (NCM’s, quality alerts, CAPA’s, etc.)· Assist in implementing Lean Manufacturing ideologies and methods.· Supervise and support quality inspectors with daily tasks. · Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine standards are followed. · Support engineering with new product launches and quality related data analysis and reporting. · Manage quality related processes, SPC, Cpk, FMEA, Process Capability Studies, etc.· Formulate and maintain quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.· Create, implement, and monitor inspection criteria and procedures.· Interprets quality control philosophy to key personnel and quality control training programs. · Coordinates objectives with production procedures to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.· Provides inspection activity for products throughout production cycle (internal audits). · Establish incoming inspection criteria for vendors and suppliers. · Establish new vendor qualification procedures and quality criteria. · Perform onsite audits of current and potential vendor facilities.· Assist in applying analytical and reporting processes within each department.· Directs workers engaged with inspection and testing activities to ensure control plans are followed. · Creates and directs environmental test functions and reporting.· Manages inspection equipment calibration processes. Including selection of new equipment. · Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality. · Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required. Supervision: · This position is a leadership role that will have daily interaction with direct reports, internal department managers, and other employees. It will be key to always demonstrate a positive mental attitude for challenges that may arise and will require solutions with satisfactory results. As a leader, positive demeanor and good listening skills are paramount. · Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Managing personnel includes interviewing, hiring, training, performing employee capability appraisals, and monitors overtime. Planning and directing work assignments. Also, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
