Summary

In this high visible position, you will oversee the administration of the apprenticeship program – curriculum, grades, instructors. Started in 1952, it is the premiere electrical training program in the state. Our apprentices have won numerous state and national competitions. Prestige and bragging rights.

Manage LMS – we launched a Learning Management System in 2018. This system is the backbone of our training. As we grow the university, the LMS is a critical piece to tracking, assigning and record keeping of our training.

You will be our main POC to Coordinate with appropriate gov’t agencies – DOL, VA

Qualifications

Three or more years’ experience in program management, with a focus on education and trainingExperience working within or in partnership with a college or corporate university highly desiredAbility to learn and navigate new software (LMS and Apprentice software)Proficiency in MS Suite of ApplicationsWorking knowledge of Apprenticeship requirements is a plusA teaching degree also a plusAttention to detail is a plusHigh School graduate or equivalent GED.

Essential Functions

The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:

Manage the delivery of related supplemental instruction for apprenticeship programs across Watson Electrical ensuring our apprentice program is delivered in accordance to State and NCCER standards, policies and procedures, contracted obligations and within funding budgetsCoordinate facilities and related equipment for apprenticeship programsCoordinate logistics to include scheduling, catering, and hotel reservations around the company Master Training scheduleDevelop and maintain necessary Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with partnersTrack and maintain asset inventory to include equipment (supplies, tools, and materials)Map out the company master training schedule each year, communicating starts to all participants and appropriate leadership staff.Coordinate with the Regional Training Supervisors to hire instructors, and managing scheduling changes semester to semesterSchedule and create classes with NCCER registry for each semester, populate semester class rosters, build Apprentice database, collect all required forms for each location for apprentice registration for each semester start, confirm registration of apprenticesCommunicate information with apprentices about semester class enrollment and schedulingTroubleshoot student performance issues, breaks in apprenticeship training, supporting struggling apprentices to continue with the programCoordinate delivery of textbooks and other instructional material to instructors and apprenticesFile all program documentation as required (manually and electronically)Manage, Plan, and coordinate Annual Watson Electrical, State, and National Apprentice competitionsResponsible for maintaining records in accordance with NCCER requirements
