📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Shift Details
Monday-Friday 11:00pm-7:30am
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Primarily responsible for manually transporting product, pallets, cages, etc. as needed for shipping, processing required paperwork and assisting with inventory. Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Under general supervision, transport product using hand carts, pallet jacks, etc; following all safety protocolsEnsure all product is labeled, stacked and wrapped correctly for shippingScan and track pallets from production to coolerCorrectly verify and process required paperworkAssist with verifying accurate inventory counts as neededPerform all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulationsOther duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Previous experience in shipping a plusAbility to work unsupervised and self-motivateAbility to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hoursSound work ethic, honesty and moral character
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Follow departmental and company safety policies and programsMust wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work in hot, wet and/or cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)Ability to stand up to 8 hoursAbility to lift up to 60 lbs. Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2 and moving production lines/equipmentExposure to wet and dusty environmentMay roll and push buggies (~1,000 lbs.)Will work around live animals, odors
