Company Description We Are Loved is a nonprofit organization based in Red Bank, NJ, dedicated to empowering foster children and youth in New Jersey through various programs and educational initiatives. Our flagship program, the Holiday Box Drive, collects donations of pajamas, snacks, toys, books, and other gifts for children in foster care. In 2023, we exceeded our goal by creating over 600 Holiday Boxes. This year, we started our new program the Birthday Boxes. We are focused on launching the LUV Program ( Learning Unique Values) to teach teens in foster care life skills and raise funds to purchase a dedicated facility.
Role Description This is a volunteer summer intern role at We Are Loved. The summer intern will assist in the organization and coordination of the LUV Program, including helping with organizing information for classes, doing community outreach and activities. The intern will also assist with fundraising efforts and the planning of the Birthday Boxes. This is a hybrid role, with the intern expected to work on-site at our Red Bank location as well as remotely.
