Lead Construction Manager

About This Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Construction Manager to manage office construction projects, including the renovation of the Wells Fargo Customer Information Center campus.

In This Role, You Will

Lead portfolio projects of complex initiatives through all phases of construction, remodeling and reconfiguration of company facilities, within organizational or companywide with moderate to significant risk, and scope, including those that are cross-functional with broad impactAct as key participant in large-scale planning for Construction Management functional areaDevelop, manage, review and research complex multi-faceted, larger scale construction project plans, and operational challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factorsNegotiate and award related contracts to architects, engineers, general contracts and other external vendorsInteract and negotiate with more experienced management to create and implement complex communication plans that deliver construction project goals, plans and execution and progress reportsEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as government and regulatory requirementsMake decisions in complex and multi-faceted construction situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures and compliance requirementsInfluence and lead broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesProvide construction project leadership, coordinating internal and external consultants and vendors to assure compliance with construction project team and managementStrategically collaborate and consult with peers, internal and external consultants, vendors and experienced managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsLead projects, teams or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications, US

5+ years of Construction Management experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications

Experience with commercial office interior design and constructionAbility to read and understand construction documents and floorplansExperience with SMS, Workspace, Serraview, Sharepoint sites, Ariba, PM WebMicrosoft Suite, with focus on Excel, Project, and PowerPointComfortable leading large meetings with various participantsExperience overseeing and driving teams toward schedule and budget goals, while identifying, tracking and managing associated risk factorsExperience estimating work scope costs and timelines based on historical or other methodologiesAbility to prepare and present senior level communicationsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Job Expectations

Able to comfortably visit job sites multiple times as needed during project planning, execution and turnover to view work progression and uncover issues as they arise

Job Location and Salary Range

NC - Charlotte: Min $73,000 Max $129,900May be considered for a discretionary bonus.
