📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
About This Role
Wells Fargo is embarking on a multiyear transformation journey aimed at end-to-end modernization of Payment systems (Wires, ACH and Instant Payments) across Wholesale and Consumer banking. We are seeking a Payments Transformation Senior Lead Consultant with deep expertise in transformation, payment products, operations, and technology to solve a key strategic problem associated with the Payments Transformation effort.
Success in this role will enable faster delivery of the program's objectives, which include a stronger risk and controls environment, operational efficiencies, and increased customer satisfaction/self-service. This role will report into the Director of Payments Transformation and will partner closely with the Director of Enterprise Wires Operations and the Control Management Director.
This position is also known as a Senior Lead Business Execution Consultant
In This Role, You Will
Own roadmap planning and execution across a key project under the Payments Transformation Program umbrellaArticulate project level priorities over the next 18+ monthsLead sessions with cross-functional project team (Ops, Tech, Product Owners, Testing, Controls, Architecture, Business) to understand which key business priorities each can achieve, define what capabilities / dependencies each would need to achieve itBuild project-level roadmaps with key milestones and benefits clearly definedLiaise with other project teams to understand key interdependencies, shared challenges and opportunities, constraints, etc.Gain buy-in from cross-functional teams; present recommendations to Director-level leaders across Ops, Tech, Product, Business, Controls, etc.Combine project-level roadmaps into program level roadmapsIdentify and escalate key decisions and trade-offsProactively identify potential risks when implementing change, along with developing mitigation strategies and plansBuild sustainable program frameworks including project plans; roles and responsibilities; programs forums and councils; data management; reporting routines; stakeholder management plans; communication plans; etc.Develop transformation-related materials for executive audiences such as the Operating Committee, Board of Directors and associated committees, Regulators, and other Wells Fargo leadershipLead both planned and ad hoc strategic analyses as assigned by the Payments Transformation leaderLead through influence, often without direct authority, persuading through use of data and factsAdjust and adapt to the rolling, day-to-day changes that transpire in the running of programs/initiatives

Required Qualifications, US
7+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications
4+ years of payments, wires or operations experience preferred4+ years of financial services or management consulting experiencePrevious project management, change management or process improvement experiencePrevious experience leading technology projects highly desiredKnowledge and understanding of operational risk managementDemonstrated experience designing and leading cross-enterprise projectsAbility to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendationsExperience providing direction and oversight to cross-functional teams in a matrixed organizationAbility to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals across large complex organizationsExperience working closely with senior and executive leadershipAbility to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are importantAbility to execute in a fast-paced, high-demand, environment while balancing multiple prioritiesOutstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
