Job Description
Part-time Day/Evening Shift
40 hours bi-weekly
Monday to Friday
7:30am to 4:00pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm
Must have at least 2 years nursing experience.
Will be expected to complete OCN Chemotherapy/ Immunotherapy course to obtain certificate.
Will be expected to obtain Oncology Nursing Society Certification after a designated amount of clinical time in the department.
General Summary
Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital. Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
