Content Area Or Department Brief Description

The Early Childhood Integrated Systems (ECIS) content area addresses systems and policies for children ages birth to eight and their families. Projects in this area build the capacity of state-level or large-scale mixed-delivery early childhood systems through cross-sector, integrated service delivery, policy guidance, system-building efforts, and initiatives to support the whole child, whole family, and whole community.

Position Overview

WestEd is seeking a dynamic program coordinator to join the team to work in a fast-paced environment. Our team focuses on projects that lie at the intersection of racial equity, social justice, and workforce development. You will undertake a variety of project management support and product coordination activities for online, virtual, and in-person training development for early childhood professionals. Specifically, this position includes supporting the daily tracking of tasks, meeting scheduling, working in Smartsheet and Box, and supporting team leadership.

The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds and the ability to flex communication styles to match multiple cultural environments. Experience with common web-based business solutions and content management is preferred. Excellent communication skills and spoken and written language abilities in English and Spanish are preferred but not required.

You must live in California and be able to work from our Camarillo office.

Responsibilities

Support the team’s project management for individual activities, including creating activity workplans and staying on top of tasks to ensure the team's timely completion.Contribute to the development and management of project-specific work plans to ensure the submission of deliverables is on time and responsive to the scope of work for the project. This requires tracking and communicating progress toward milestones, tracking project needs, risks, and challenges, and coordinating and communicating with the project director and financial analyst.Use Smartsheet and Box to support product development.Schedule meetings to support product development.Work with task leads to coordinate with developers and subject matter experts.Communicate regularly with the funder to support entering new training and problem-solving issues that arise.

Qualifications

Must be able to work in the WestEd Camarillo California office.A commitment to racial and social justice and improving outcomes in education.Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a timely and organized manner.Initiative, resourcefulness, and careful attention to detail.Proficiency with project planning and management tools, including SmartSheet, Excel, and Box.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).The ability to learn quickly and multi-task effectively.Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work as a team member.Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Successful candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary And Benefits

The full salary range for this position, WestEd level 7 is $57,400 to $98,400 but WestEd does not typically hire at or near the top of the salary range. The typical hiring range for this role is $57,400 to $82,000. The actual offer takes into account multiple factors, including but not limited to education, experience, internal equity, and other organizational needs.
