Reports to: Division Vice President
Territory:Mountain Region includes Colorado, New Mexico, Washington, and Alaska.
Job Summary:The Regional Manager position manages and executes all goals, budgets and programming put in place within their assigned territory. The Regional Manager position is responsible for, managing distributor and customer relationships and ensuring the smooth operation of sales processes within their assigned territory. They will also manage and train any Area Managers and/or Field Account Managers that work within their region of responsibility.within all states in the assigned region. Key Duties/Responsibilities:Execute sales strategies and plans for the assigned region, considering market conditions, distributor alignment and competition.Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with key distributor managers in all divisions including off premise, on premise and chains.Manage the sales budget that covers programming and pricing for all channels of the business to ensure profitability.Build and maintain relationships with key customers to understand their needs and preferences and address their concerns.Prepare and analyze regular reports on sales performance and identify areas for improvement and opportunities for sales and distribution.Prepare and deliver impactful sales presentations for sales meetings, key account meetings, Quarterly Business reviews, annual strategy meetings and portfolio planning.Work closely with customer service to ensure alignment of sales strategies with inventory and shipments.Develop and Maintain relationships with key account and chain buyers in both the on and off premises.Train and develop the distributor sales teams on product knowledge and sales techniques.They are required to be in the field 50-60% of the time.Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities β contβd next pageManage direct reports to ensure they have the tools, resources, and support to meet their sales targets; to include but not limited to coaching, mentoring, business reviews, and performance feedback.Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.Manages T&E and budgets for direct reports.Provides constructive and timely feedback on employee performance and annual performance evaluations.Communicates strategic vision of the company and division to members of the team.Reports on any personnel issues within the assigned region. Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written presentation skills and must be comfortable presenting to large groups.Excellent sales and negotiation skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Advanced pricing and programming skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Ability to travel overnight and work evening events.Ability to travel 25 to 50% of time. Education and Experience:Bachelorβs degree required.5 to 10 plus years sales and management experience in the alcoholic beverage industry.5 plus years of supplier experience calling on all levels of the distributor. Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Regular short/long distance travel to customers, distributors, and or meetings.Occasional late night or weekend events.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
