Senior Full Stack Developer (Java)

Code, test and analyze application software to support existing business systems applications. Consult with business analysts to identify business needs and appropriate technical solutions, as well as design and document technical requirements for business applications. Support highly functional, secure, scalable, and robust software solutions from the product ideation stage to production deployment through collaboration with product owners, architects, test engineers, dev-ops, and operations teams. Contribute to the design of backend DBs and queries, API creation and consumption, and front end UI development. Provide application architecture and design artifacts and conducting design reviews, as well as present solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Analyze existing software for Usability and Accessibility issues and provide recommendations for improvement through Test Driven Development. Ensure that software deliverables adhere to architecture standards, risk management standards, and security policies. Utilize Java, Spring boot, Hibernate, React, Java Script, CSS, Jenkins and Microservices to meet business needs. Telecommuting may be permitted up to 2 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to Western Union, LLC at 11902 Burnet Road, Suite 350, Austin, TX 78758. Salary Range: $118,165 to $150,250 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Electronic or Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or any occupation/position/job title involving software development.

Must Also Have The Following Special Skills

3 years of professional experience performing scaling applications for performance and availability; 3 years of professional experience using Enterprise Architecture, Data Structures and Algorithms, or Object-Oriented Design; 3 years of professional experience using build systems, build management tools, version control tools, or security frameworks; and 2 years of professional experience performing software development with object-oriented programming languages including PHP, Transcript, JavaScript, React, HTML5, CSS3, and REST API.

Annual base salary gross:  $118,165 to $150,250 USD. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Union’s total compensation package for employees.
