GENERAL PURPOSE :Train to become a proficient, competent Folder/Gluer operator by working with and assisting current operators. Learn to competently make mechanical adjustments to folding/gluing machines to ensure cartons are properly folded and glued.

Essential Job Functions

Works with and assists folder/gluer operator with operation of folder/gluer machine in accordance with customer specifications and current Standard Operating Procedures with goal of learning to perform work independently. Works with and assists folder/gluer operator with make-ready, feeder, pre-fold, final fold and delivery with goal of learning to perform work independently. Assists with set up of glue system, bar code scanners and pack station with goal of learning to do work independently. Locates item for machines based on gluing schedule for machines. Maintains equipment and machine area. Ensures total quality of the job while in production. Performs other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must have the ability to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.Must have basic personal computer skills.Must pass basic reading test.Must pass ruler test.Must pass color vision test.Must be willing to work overtime as needed.Must be able to maintain good attendance.Must be able to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
