What We Offer
New Starting Pay Rate: $21.41 an hour. Shift differential for 2nd is .75 cents and $1.00 for 3rd shift. Potential pay increase after 60 days. Shift(s): Monday to Friday, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (new hires must be able to work any shift assigned as this is based on the union contract/seniority) Benefits after 60 days (Health, Dental, Vision, RX, 401k, pension program) and much more! Responsibilities
Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed) Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools Test operation of machines periodically Fix issues that might occur during the shift Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws Keep records of approved and defective units or final products Maintain activity logs
Skills
Proven experience as a machine operator is preferred but not required. We are willing to train with the right attitude and if you are a reliable employee Some working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.) Understanding of production procedures Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear) Analytical skills Attention to detail Teamwork and communication skills Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
