Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our transportation service team. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. As an Engineering Technician, you would be responsible for using standard drafting practices and procedures to assist with various tasks. You will modify and create design plans and drawings using MicroStation under the direction of a designer or engineer.
Duties And Responsibilities
Work as a member of a project team under the direction of a Project Engineer or Designer in support of various projects. Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
Create, edit, and modify drawing files using MicroStationApply Westwood CAD standards, practices, and procedures in creating and modifying CAD drawingsOperate reproduction equipment including large-format scanners and printersWork collaboratively in a team environmentCoordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documentsPlot and backcheck drawingsConduct field reviews to gather dataTake personal responsibility for quality of tasks performedPerform routine analysis to check accuracy of data and work productsEnsures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey serviceLead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism
Required Skills
Outgoing, friendly, approachableDetail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environmentDemonstrate willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized fieldProficient in MicroStation, Autodesk Civil3D, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office applicationsAble to follow general directions and work with limited independence on basic computations
Required Experience
High School graduate or equivalentTechnical degree or certification in MicroStation, Autodesk Civil3DDemonstrate experience, knowledge and proficiency in the latest version of MicroStation or Autodesk Civil3D0-2 [or] 3+ years of relevant experiencePossess basic mathematical skills and analytical abilities
