Senior Team Leader, Supply Chain Compliance, Metrics, and Data Analysis

The Senior Team Leader, for the Supply Chain Compliance, Metrics and Data Analysis team will lead a team of data analysts to deliver reports, tools and dashboards to various business partners in support of the Standardized Compliance Program, the Exclusive Brands Gateway Program, and other Regulatory and Food Safety related programs. This team is responsible for understanding how data can best be utilized to help facilitate strategic business decisions and improve processes for teams in the food safety, quality assurance, supply chain compliance and regulatory compliance organizations. This team is also responsible for identifying ways to automate process improvements by implementing technical solutions utilizing the programs and systems available to the business. This position is based in Austin, TX working in office 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week.

Major Job Responsibilities

Manage a team’s daily responsibilities and help set priorities and allocate work assignments for medium to large-sized projects that involve utilizing data to create visualizations to help support our programs and business partners. Provide feedback and training to ensure the team is meeting the goals of the supported programs. Also supporting individual development and replacement planning efforts, as needed. Ensures team’s services adapt and change as the business evolves. Ensures alignment between the team’s goals and the organization’s overall vision and business strategies. Develops clear and strategically focused plans to achieve defined business objectives, ensuring own area’s priorities align with and support the broader organization’s mission, values, and strategies. Engages with functional leaders and senior leadership to understand business and process needs, issues, and challenges to structure deliverables to meet these needs. Contributes to objective setting and resource planning. Facilitates change management within the team to ensure team members can absorb the changing needs of the business and still meet the service level agreements for our suppliers and internal teams. Translates high level business requirements and strategic objectives into clear actionable steps and manages those to completion. Identifies risks and understands how they may impact programs and operations. Communicates risks and mitigation plans with cross functional leaders to ensure analysis is understood and form the basis for sound decision making. Consults and advises direct report team members and business partners on issue identification and resolution strategies. Partner with teams that utilize The Gateway, FoodLogiQ, CMX and other software programs related to food safety, quality assurance and compliance. Become their subject matter expert and point of contact for data related initiatives that help provide tools to support business process and decisions. Serves as a trusted advisor for business partners that are impacted by the systems and programs the team supports. Partner with the WFM DATA and Data Operations teams to provide a unified reporting program and ensure our efforts are in sync with other initiatives. Oversees design, configuration, testing, adaptation, and implementation of new data related reports and dashboards. Monitors state and success of delivered reports and dashboards, identifying systemic issues, trends, future challenges, and lessons learned.

Must Haves (Knowledge And Skills)

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 6-8 years relevant functional experience. 3+ years of leadership experience required. Strong excel skills required. Alteryx and Tableau experience required. Experience with FoodLogiQ, Gateway, Smartsheet, and Everclear strongly preferred. Proven ability to understand how data can be used to drive business decisions at various levels of the organization. Ability to create effective correspondence, reports, and business rules. Strong collaboration skills and ability to advocate convincingly with a diverse group of business and technical partners. Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques. Strong critical thinking skills. Effective verbal and written communication and analytical skills. Ability to manage data systems for query, problem tracking and analyzing data. Self-directed with excellent follow through. Moderate to high degree of technical aptitude; understand functional technical problems and concepts and apply to system functionality for resolutions. Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for driving execution at a detail level. Able to manage confidential information.
