As an Accounting Supervisor, you will guide a team of accounting professionals as you continuously drive greater efficiencies and lower costs. You will collaborate with company partners to handle the accumulation, recording, accuracy and control of accounting transactions and assist in the resolution of accounting issues!

Responsibilities/Expectations
Runs workforce planning and career development activities for team membersHolds team accountable for performing all work in accordance with requirements, standards, policies, procedures and processesCoordinates efforts to ensure adequate financial accounting controls and integrity of our financial recordsCollaborates with others to establish and maintain accounting policies, standards and processes in compliance with GAAP and accounting regulationsCollaborates to develop and handle financial analysis and reportingLeads sophisticated projectsCommunicates with senior leadership regarding data and analysisReviews and ensures accuracy of FERC & GAAP filings; reviews XBRL taggingResearches regulated accounting issues, formulates recommendations for accounting treatment, and documents conclusions in memos for management’s reviewSupports rate case submission, works with partners on rate and tariff filings, FERC audits and other regulatory issuesOther duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience
Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting and minimum six (6) years of multifaceted accounting experiencePreferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priorityProficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skillsDeep understanding of accounting procedures and policiesPrevious experience leading or supervising a team is preferredLeads special projects and company initiativesDrives process improvement and data automation
