SUMMARY The Maintenance Manager is responsible for establishing and supervising the daily operations of the Maintenance Department and its Administration. He/She is responsible for the manpower, schedule, tools, testing, QC, and the coordination required to successfully return an aircraft to service. The Maintenance Manager is also responsible for upkeep of the maintenance facilities, the safety and training of the maintenance personnel at the YNG MRO and on the AOG Mobile Service Unit. This position requires the development of an ongoing relationship with the lead/maintenance technicians, Chief Inspector and other maintenance-related departments and the management team at Winner Aviation. Also, of utmost importance is the ability to maintain long lasting, trusted relationships with customers, vendors/suppliers, and the FAA. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCIONS Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged Maintenance Department workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development and succession planning. Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices. Works closely with the Sales and Marketing personnel in the best interest of the Customer and Winner Aviation. Oversees the quoting and invoicing process in the maintenance shop to ensure financial goals are achieved and customer satisfaction is met. Identify, budget, and facilitate various employee training programs, which include necessary safety and aircraft maintenance training programs required for the Repair Station or OEM Authorized Service Center (airframe, engine, etc.). Plan the workload to optimize the distribution and allocate manpower so that technicians are productive and efficient. Ensure the scope of work on each aircraft is complete per all FAA and safety regulations. Discuss repair quotes with customers to obtain their approvals of the work being performed as well as any necessary change orders as the job progresses. Meet the committed return to service dates; coordinate flight operations to meet the schedules and needs of customers. Supervise trend/performance data and communicate that information to owners of aircraft. Supervise all AOG Mobile Service Unit responses and requirements. Perform the customary duties of the Maintenance Manager in accordance with the Repair Station Manual. Listen, understand, and work with all customers to provide the highest level of service and quality available and expand on the companyβs competitive advantage. Experience in managing direct reports, excellent organizational skills and planning is required. The ability to lead and manage cross functional teams in a matrix organization is a must. Participate in routine Leadership Meetings. Work closely with the Operations Manager to assist in Preparing and managing the Maintenance Department Budget. Evaluate requests for capital expenditures through financial performance analysis and incorporate within the business plan. Ability to interact with and maintain external relationships with Customers, OEMs, vendors, and engineering partners, and internal relationships with administration, sales, engineering, modification teams, HR, and finance personnel. Responsible for understanding the recruitment requirements of the Maintenance department and collaborating with Operations Manager and Human Resources to ensure the staffing goals are met efficiently and effectively. Perform Annual Review of all employees and submit to the Operations Manager for review and approval. Works closely with the Parts Manager to ensure the financial goals for Maintenance Shop Parts are achieved. Works closely with the Chief Inspector to ensure that all FAA Standards are met for the Repair Station. Experienced in interfacing with governing bodies such as the FAA, JAA, NTSB, or similar, and their representatives as required. Ensure the Maintenance Shop is kept in a safe, clean, and orderly manner. Promote Customer Relations and solve customer disputes. QUALIFICATIONSTo fulfill this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily, partly through strong and efficient time management capabilities. EDUCATION and/EXPERIENCE Eight Years of Maintenance experience required; valid FAA A & P License required with no violations.General/corporate aviation and leadership experience required.Experience with Piston and Turbine aircraft on Part 91 & 135.Proven experience with Customer Service.Two Years of College, or Bachelorβs Degree preferred, but not required.Military Operations, or Private Pilot License a plus. COMMUNICATION SKILLSThe ability to communicate professionally and effectively with the executives and directors of the company as well as other management, employees, vendors, customers, associate companies is a must. ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLSMust possess the ability to use software tools available to work efficiently and effectively, keep schedules organized for use by all involved. LANGUAGE SKILLSFluency in spoken and written English is required. COMPUTER SKILLSProficient with computer systems Corridor and Office 365, as well as strong basic computer skills and knowledge of general office equipment. MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to apply concepts of basic mathematics and accounting as it pertains to requirements. Understanding of Finance or Accounting a plus. REASONING ABILITYAbility to recognize problems to resolve and eliminate threats to the company.
