Our law firm is looking for an attorney who is ready to represent our existing client base. The ideal candidate will work closely with the firm’s clients, administrative staff, and senior partners. $130,000 - $150,000 yearly
Responsibilities
Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondenceComplete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefsManage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedingsTake responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasksStrong familiarity with federal and state rules of procedurePossess excellent writing skills; and be comfortable taking depositionsBriefing and arguing dispositive and discovery motions, and preparing for and conducting examinations at trial
Qualifications
Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 yearsWell-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis) Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a mustPrior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years requiredMust be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred
