The successful candidate will be a motivated, growth-oriented professional with the ability to lead multi-disciplined project teams from planning and conceptual design through final design, permitting, construction, and closeout. You will have staff to mentor and clients to support. Our skilled team of engineers, as well as our integrated operations professionals and SCADA team, will support you in delivering exceptional products to our clients. You will be an active participant in our delivery system improvement programs and help lead Practice initiatives.Who we are looking for: You will primarily provide engineering and environmental permitting support on stormwater and land development projects, however, experience with wastewater and drinking water applications is valuable. This position provides an opportunity to direct and collaborate with a team of junior staff while providing the ability to consistently work with mid and senior-level technical staff and leadership across the organization. The ideal candidate is a technically focused individual with strong experience in the evaluation, planning, design, and construction of stormwater and land development projects. Experience developing permitting strategies and identifying critical permit requirements is required. You will lead the technical delivery of multiple projects, must be familiar with local and federal regulations, and be able to support marketing and proposal efforts.What you will be doing at Woodard & Curran: Act as the technical lead for all sizes of projects.Work alongside Project Manager(s), leading the technical delivery of project tasks.Determine the overall technical and permitting approach for projects.Prepare and deliver presentations and training programs to internal and external clients and professional associations.Support business development efforts under the direction of a client manager to provide technical support and guidance to a range of clients.Provide input on the development of Woodard & Curran design guidelines and standards.What you need to succeed: The successful candidate will have technical and project delivery expertise in the field of civil and environmental engineering and have an in-depth understanding of the engineering concepts associated with all types of stormwater and land development projects. Experience with wastewater and drinking water projects is a plus.Well-versed in local, state, and federal regulations regarding stormwater and land development.Well-versed in Florida environmental permitting.Knowledgeable in Florida bidding laws and funding programs.Up to date on the latest technological advances, regulatory trends, equipment, and processes.Superior writing, communication, and presentation skills.8+ years of engineering experience.B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, M.S. Degree preferred.Registered Professional Engineering Florida (or ability to apply for reciprocity within 6 months of hire).$87,000 - $161,000 a yearThis position’s anticipated pay range is provided below; final exempt salary or non-exempt hourly pay will be dependent on experience level as well as considering a % based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working.
