What The Workplace Manager Does
The Workplace Manager is responsible for managing their assigned workplaces effectively to enable employees to be engaging, productive, efficient and safe.
The Workplace Manager is responsible for developing, documenting and maintaining processes to enable effective workplaces and may be responsible for direct reports at one to three locations in relative proximity.
What You Will Do
Ensures repairs and replacement needs of the workplace and facility equipment are conducted in a timely manner and responsible to ensure effective communications with all stakeholders.Manages renovation projects with support from Regional Workplace Manager and local site leadership.Ensures delivery of successful employee engagement events throughout the year for their assigned workplaces.Ensures vendors and internal team members meet performance expectation to deliver workplace services. Ensures strong vendor relationships, including identifying new vendors as necessary. Communicates vendor performance to Regional Workplace Manager and other stakeholders as appropriate.Ensures maintenance tasks, equipment repairs, calibrations and similar assessments are conducted on time, including appropriate reporting.Ensures that security procedures and equipment meet the local workplace requirements and is documented.Responsible for creation and review of process documents and training materials, including business continuity planning. This will include being an on call team member.Coordinates local health and safety activities, including safety drills with stakeholders and supports effective communication to employees and external agencies.Responsible for storage facilities: off-site and on-site.Management of direct reports, with support from the Regional Workplace Manager to ensure effective resource planning.
What You Will Bring To The Role
Ability to prioritize, organize and be flexible where needed with a high attention to detail and a desire to deliver projects on time and on budget.Strong interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders. Ability and enjoyment of working on a wide range of tasks and projects.Sound knowledge of MS Office products and an ability to learn and adapt to new technology and systemsCapacity to plan, deliver and communicate complex change management Effective verbal & written communication
Your Experience
5+ years of experience in workplace management at one or more locations2+ years of managing a team of Support / Workplace / Administrative staffExperience working in a fast-moving organization with a compliance focus and a high proportion of remote employees, preferably in a pharmaceutical or medical industry or an outsourcing providerExcellent standard of written and spoken EnglishExperience managing relationships with third-party vendorsExperienced with Microsoft Office applications with ability to generate products that are suitable to internal and external useA high school diploma or GED qualification is required.Bachelor's degree or certification from an applicable field (e.g. FMP, CFM or equivalent) preferred.
