Mechanical Engineer Level II

Purpose

You will provide mechanical engineering services to Worley and its customers.

Responsibilities

Deliver mechanical engineering services that meet Worley, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.Perform mechanical analysis for moderate to complex steel and concrete structures and foundations, including finite element modeling.Prepare design calculations in conformance with engineering principles, industry standards of practice and applicable codes such as ACI, AISC, ASCE and IBC.Prepare construction specifications, bill of materials, and quantity take-offs.Prepare design sketches and CAD sketches.Direct mechanical designers/drafters in preparation of construction drawings.Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in mechanical engineering.If required, assist and support junior personnel within the mechanical engineering team.Communicate effectively with the mechanical engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customers.Follow Worley’s document preparation and checking procedures.Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.

What You Will Bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements

5+ years of relevant discipline experienceProficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel and AccessTeam participation skillsSelf-motivated, organized, able to work independentlyStrong interpersonal and written communication skillsEffective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.A good working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of mechanical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fieldsA good working knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.

Required

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training

4 or 5 year technical degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent that will lead to registration as a professional Engineer.

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States.
